Miriam Jayaratna has a doctorate in clinical psychology, but won’t let that stop her from writing deranged comedy for the internet.

Her short humor has appeared in publications like The New Yorker’s Shouts and Murmurs, Reductress, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency.

She also teaches a workshop through the St. Nell’s Humor Residency, The Soft Skills of Humor Writing.

Miriam has studied improv, sketch writing, and acting at Upright Citizens Brigade and The Stella Adler School of Acting.

Her toxic trait is that she dislikes chocolate chips in baked goods.
